I'm Derek, founder of Harasoft LLC, specializing in Python automation, data protection, and cloud infrastructure. My technical background includes backup, virtualization, and disaster recovery, and I currently support enterprise clients in managing complex infrastructure environments. I'm certified as a VMCE, Linux+, AZ-900, and Security+, and my expertise covers Windows and Linux systems extensively.

My passion is building resilient systems and simplifying complex processes. Whether I'm automating backups with Python, recovering ransomware-hit environments, or mentoring junior technical professionals, my goal is always to bring clarity, confidence, and efficiency to technical teams.

Prior to fully transitioning into IT, I worked as a market maker on the SPX options trading floor in Chicago, which honed my skills in risk management under intense pressure. After that, I explored real estate media production, eventually pivoting fully to a career focused on technology and automation.
